We hope that everyone has continued to stay safe during this difficult time. We have been closely monitoring national and statewide developments in the COVID-19 pandemic and have been actively updating our guidelines in order to provide all of our patients with safe and high quality care.
Our office is currently open during regular business hours, Mon-Fri 8am – 5pm. We are offering in-person clinic visits for all Ear, Nose and Throat issues. For your safety, our staff will continue to wear masks for all patient encounters and interaction. Additionally, we will continue to offer Telemedicine services over the phone or via video conference for all patients who prefer this. Call our office at 205-838-3755 to schedule!
We have now re-opened our waiting room with socially distanced seating for all patients. While in the waiting room we ask all visitors to wear a face-covering in respect to other patients. Additionally, all patients will still have the option of waiting in their vehicle if this is preferred. If waiting in your vehicle, please call our office once you arrive in order to check in. A member of our staff will personally come and escort you to your appointment.
We are prepared with measures from the CDC guidelines for reducing exposure risk.
-Antiseptic cleaning of each room following each individual patient encounter.
-Standard PPE (personal protective equipment) will be used in all patient encounters.
-Per guidelines, we will avoid direct contact with hand-shaking during encounters.
We will continue to offer curbside COVID-19 PCR testing at our office in Birmingham/Trussville. If you or your family member is interested in testing, please call our office to go through the screening process and receive instructions on your testing appointment. Same day appointments are usually available!
Testing will be performed curbside in your own vehicle via nasopharyngeal swab. When you arrive, please call the office to notify the staff that you have arrived and to provide your parking space number. One of our physicians will perform the test at your vehicle and a member of our staff will then contact you with the results, typically within 3-5 days.
Note: PCR testing is performed to screen for active infection. We do NOT currently offer the COVID-19 antibody test.
